Born in Houston, raised on Staten Island, Volle earned her BFA at the Kansas City Art Institute then moved to back to New York, where she worked as a studio assistant for Carroll Dunham and Laurie Simmons.
Volle made paintings at the Baie St. Marie Maine College of Art Residency in Nova Scotia and the Artists Invite Artists Program at the Watershed Center in Newcastle, Maine as well as created etchings at the Guanlan Original Printmaking Base Residency in Guanlan, China.
Volle lives with her husband Douglas in Sayville, New York and currently works in watercolor and encaustic.
